KOICHA 濃茶, thick tea


  • How to Prepare KOICHA 濃茶, thick tea


    Preferred for a thick & strong shot of Matcha:

    • Place 4 chashaku scoops (roughly 2 teaspoons or our matcha) in a  bowl (chawan).

    • Dip chasen in water.  

    • Pour up to 50 ml of hot water (150-175°F) in your bowl

    • Begin to whisk with our bamboo chasen in a zig-zag motion.

    • Meditate if you’d like at this point. Breathe in, breathe out. Enjoy the process.

    • Note: your Koicha will not get a rich foam on top. That’s the point :)
