How to Prepare KOICHA 濃茶, thick tea
Method
Preferred for a thick & strong shot of Matcha:

Place 4 chashaku scoops (roughly 2 teaspoons or our matcha) in a bowl (chawan).

Dip chasen in water.

Pour up to 50 ml of hot water (150-175°F) in your bowl
-
Begin to whisk with our bamboo chasen in a zig-zag motion.

Meditate if you’d like at this point. Breathe in, breathe out. Enjoy the process.

Note: your Koicha will not get a rich foam on top. That’s the point :)
